ePanic Button

The ePanic Button (ePB) is a software program that allows isolated workers to instantly summon support and notify others of potentially dangerous situations.

Who is it for?

· Case Workers who work with disgruntled or upset clients

· Receptionists who are harassed by a visitor or solicitor

· Intake Coordinators working with hostile applicants

Send Messages Instantly

The ePB appears as a little icon on the bottom right of the computer screen (in the notification area by the clock). When a cursor hovers over it, a window scrolls up with a series of customizable buttons. The user clicks one of the buttons to execute the pre-arranged messages instantly.

The messages can be sent as an email, text message and/or instant message Alert. The messages and the recipients are configured at installation and include:

· The sender’s name, location, department and contact information

· Time and date of the message

· A predetermined message

Provide Support and Track Incidents

Recipients can receive the messages via email, text message or by instant message Alert. In order to receive the Alerts, the recipients must have Instant Alert Window active and be on the same network as the sender. They will instantly receive the flashing message in Alert Window with an accompanying sound alarm to get their attention. Afterwards, they can make notes on each Alert and export it or a series of Alerts into a text file. The emails and text messages can be sent to anyone.
